Company portrait HOCHTIEF AirPort

HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of HOCHTIEF Concessions AG, which develops and realizes concessions and operator projects. All the stock of HOCHTIEF Concessions is held by HOCHTIEF Aktiengesellschaft.

The business fields of HOCHTIEF Concessions include airports, roads, social infrastructure and other public-private partnership (PPP) projects. With its subsidiaries HOCHTIEF AirPort and HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions, the company is one of the world's most important industrial infrastructure investors. HOCHTIEF AirPort and HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions have more than ten years experience in the field of public-private partnerships.

Since 1997, HOCHTIEF AirPort (HTA) has bundled all the airport management activities of international construction-related services provider HOCHTIEF and offers a full spectrum of solutions from a single source – from financing and management through to an airport's strategic alignment. In the meantime, the company has built up an attractive and balanced portfolio, with shareholdings in the airports of Athens, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Sydney and Tirana. Together, these airports handle around 90 million passengers a year. Today, HOCHTIEF AirPort – under the umbrella of the HOCHTIEF Concessions brand – is one of the world's leading private and independent airport investors and managers.

In 2005, HTA teamed up with Hastings Funds Management Ltd. of Australia, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec of Canada and the German KfW IPEX-Bank to establish the first investment partnership in the airport sector, HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital (HTAC). All the shares held by HTAC in the airports of Athens, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Sydney are managed by HTA, which receives a management fee for this. In projects, HTA takes over the role of an industrial sponsor and expert placing its extensive airport know-how at the disposal of financial investors, such as HTAC.

HOCHTIEF AirPort develops airports into efficient, service-oriented and user-friendly enterprises. This involves the continuous optimization of business and operational processes and making the best possible use of existing potential. HTA is committed to far-sighted planning aligned to each airport's scope for long-term development.

Since 2006, HTA, via its wholly owned subsidiary HTAR (HOCHTIEF AirPort Retail), also holds the master concession for all retail and catering business at Tirana International Airport.
